Black Stars forward, Brandon Thomas-Asante has expressed his disappointment after missing out on the upcoming pre-World Cup friendly games against Austria and Germany.
The striker, who plays for Coventry City, revealed that the decision to withdraw from the Ghana squad was made following consultations between his club and the Black Stars medical teams.
“Frustrating to miss out on camp with the team, which is always an honour I hold highly. Upon collaborative advice of both Ghana and Coventry” he stated.
In a statement released on March 24, 2026, Thomas-Asante admitted it was “frustrating to miss out on camp,” emphasizing that representing Ghana remains a great honour.
However, he stressed the importance of prioritizing his fitness, noting that he will focus on staying in top condition over the coming months for both club and country.
“I'll focus on maintaining fitness for an important few months for both club and country” he added.
