As tradition demands, the Black Stars squad honored winger Antoine Semenyo on March 23, 2026, after Manchester City defeated Arsenal to clinch the Carabao Cup.

The former Bournemouth winger joined the squad during their training session, where the technical team and players called him out for recognition.

In a video shared by the official Black Stars account on X, all the squad members lined up in two opposite rows to form a guard of honor for Semenyo.

While walking through the squad, they jovially tapped and patted his back as part of the celebration.

The Black Stars are preparing for two international friendlies against Austria and Germany as part of their preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

As Manchester City celebrated their ninth Carabao Cup triumph, the Ghanaian international marked the first major trophy of his professional career.

The 26-year-old forward started the game and played the full 90 minutes as a right winger for Manchester City.

Semenyo was active in duels, winning his only aerial duel and two out of six ground duels. He was highly accurate with his passing, completing 17 of 18 overall (94%) and 9 of 10 in the final third (90%). He also created one big chance, registering an expected assist of 0.66.
