A young woman has recounted a terrifying robbery incident involving a taxi driver during an early morning ride on March 19, 2026.

According to a viral post shared on March 21, 2026, the woman left home at dawn from Awoshie, heading to work when the incident occurred.

“As she got to the junction waiting for an Accra‑bound car, a taxi driver stopped and asked where she was heading. She replied, ‘Accra,’ and the driver quickly responded that he was also going there. On the way, two men joined the trip, making her the only lady among three men,” the post stated.

She said the driver later diverted from the usual route, which marked the beginning of her ordeal.

The two male passengers allegedly assaulted her and forcibly took her belongings.

“Immediately, she said the two men started beating her and took all her belongings, including her phone, Ghana Card, and any money she had,” the post added.

In a video accompanying the post, the visibly distraught woman revealed that one of the passengers attempted to sexually assault her but was unsuccessful.
