You guys in the NPP are so envious about the man and took away the bauxite deal from him in 2017 and gifted it to the Chinese when his offer to the State was superior. Nkwaseafour!!! If I were Ibrahim Mahama, after taking the mines, I will offer better terms to the country than all the multinational mines operating in the country to shame fools in the NPP.

Don’t we have other equally competent and capable Ghanaians even if thy Ndc or npp or not politically aligned? The acquisition of Damang mine by E&P will be very controversial and will likely destroy the good legacy of President John Dramani Mahama. If the govt. goes ahead to approve this acquisition , the ndc will be handing over to the npp a powerful weapon for their political campaign for 2028. The same way Bryan Acheampong's attempt to buy the SNNIT hotels aroused national resentment and resistance so will this takeover arouse serious resistance led by the npp. It could create a toxic political atmosphere that would make people to speculate about the motives behind his generosity towards his brother. To avoid embarrassement to the ndc , the govt. must retain 100% ownership of the mine but continue to allow E&P to provide mining services since it is already very conversant with its operations. Nobody can convince me that Ghana is incapable of operating a single mine profitably unless there is private participation. It's just the same way the npp had wanted to handover the management of Terminal 3 to a foreign entity. This particular deal is raising red flags and the president must restrain his brother before he neutralizes all the gains that he has made. He is mining in the Black Volta and he should be satisfied with that. I don't think the ndc's aim as political party is to create an oligarchy in tandem with the npp's Development in Freedom.
