Ghana Embassy in Doha has called on all Ghanaian nationals living in Qatar to register with the mission without delay, citing heightened tensions and unrest in the region.

In a statement issued on Monday, March 2, 2026, the Embassy stated that the registration exercise is a critical part of its emergency preparedness measures.

It will enable the mission to maintain effective communication with Ghanaians and offer necessary assistance should the need arise.

“This registration will enable the Embassy to effectively communicate with, assist, and, if necessary, coordinate evacuation arrangements for Ghanaian citizens.

"All Ghanaians in Qatar including students, workers, families, and visitors are required to complete the registration form via the link below," the statement said.

The Embassy further assured that all information collected would be treated with the highest level of confidentiality and used solely for official emergency and consular purposes.

“The information provided will be treated with strict confidentiality and used solely for official emergency and consular purposes,” the statement added.

The Embassy also pledged to continue providing updates through its official communication channels and urged all Ghanaian nationals to stay informed and cooperate fully with the directive.

The missile barrage in Doha comes as Iran launches strikes across the Gulf in retaliation for US‑Israeli attacks on Iran.
