Accra bourse Index jumps up again

Accra, Jan. 31, GNA - The GSE-Composite Index (GSE-CI), the benchmark measure of performance of the Ghana Stock Exchange, rose 4.16 points to close at 1,057.14 points from 1,052.98 points on Monday. The year-to-date now stands at 5.71 per cent.

The GSE-Financial Stocks Index (GSE-FSI), which tracks the performance of listed financial stocks, also rose by 6.35 points to 1,056.30 points fro= m 1,049.95 points with a year-to-date change of 5.63 per cent. There were nine price changes, five up and four down. Aluworks was up GH¢0.01 at GH¢0.19; Ecobank Ghana was GH¢0.02 better at GH¢3.52; Fa= n Milk Limited gained GH¢0.03 at GH¢2.49; SG-SSB made GH¢0.07 at GH¢0.76 a= nd Unilever gained GH¢0.01 at GH¢5.86.

On the flip side UT Bank shed GH¢0.01 at GH¢0.27, Produce Buying Company (PBC) fell GH¢0.01 at GH¢0.16, Ghana Oil Company Limited slippe= d GH¢0.01 to GH¢0.31 and Ghana Commercial Bank lost GH¢0.01 to GH¢2.6= 9. Market Capitalization closed the session at GH¢20,386.02 with 237,66= 3 shares valued at GH¢145,703.68 changing hands.
