An alleged Russian national has been trending in parts of Africa, particularly Ghana, over claims that he has been sharing intimate videos of several Ghanaian women.

The man, who identifies himself as Yaytseslav, is believed to be a content creator and has reportedly uploaded several videos featuring around forty Ghanaian women he has encountered.

From February 12 to 13, 2026, Ghanaian social media especially X has been abuzz with discussions about him.

In the videos circulating online, Yaytseslav is often seen around the Accra Mall, where he approaches shoppers, mostly women, strikes up conversations and records the interactions.

Mode of operation

Multiple social media reports detail his alleged modus operandi. Yaytseslav is said to use body cameras, smart glasses to secretly record the women he encounters.

He reportedly rents a luxury apartment, which allegedly convinces women to trust him and visit him at his residence.

Social media uproar as alleged Russian trends for luring Ghanaian women into filmed encounters

According to reports, he approaches women by claiming he is a foreigner who wants to be friends and possibly have a relationship.

He then invites them to his apartment to “talk and get to know each other.” During these visits, he allegedly records the encounters, claiming he has also engaged in sexual activity with them.

These videos are reportedly uploaded to a private Telegram page, which is locked and accessible only at a cost. His recordings reportedly focus on the women while he hides his face from the cameras.

Yaytseslav is said to maintain active accounts on TikTok and YouTube, where he posts summary-style videos of these encounters.

Access to his Telegram channel reportedly costs about 400 Russian Rubles, roughly $5 per month.

Subscribers can reportedly view extended videos not allowed on YouTube, including recordings from inside his apartment and outings with the women.

One video in particular has fueled outrage. It reportedly features a woman named Angela, whom Yaytseslav allegedly met at the mall.

She is later seen at his residence wrapped in a large towel, a scene many online users have described as deeply concerning.

The conversation here should be about the serious breach of trust, consent and apparent illegality. This is very sad.
