Fifteen passengers have sustained serious injuries after a Ford Transit bus experienced a tyre burst at Gomoa Onyaazde on the Kasoa-Mankesim highway in the Central Region.
According to a February 7, 2026, report by Adomonline, the vehicle, which was transporting passengers from Accra to Takoradi, lost control after one of its tyres burst.
The bus reportedly somersaulted several times before landing in a bush.

Fire personnel from Apam, police officers from Winneba, and the Ghana Ambulance Service quickly responded to the scene.
The injured passengers were then transported to the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, no deaths have been reported so far, and authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
