Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a 43-year-old senior high school teacher, Abu Kabore, whose body was found under a mango tree at Senasi in the Berekum East District of the Bono Region.

The body was discovered in an advanced state of decomposition, and the cause of death is yet to be determined.

According to a report on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM by Nana Kwame, the deceased had a history of mental health challenges and experienced frequent episodes. He reportedly lived with an individual who supported and cared for him.

However, when the caregiver travelled, Abu reportedly left the house without informing anyone. A search was subsequently launched, but efforts to locate him proved unsuccessful until his body was found at Senasi, near Nsoatre.

Reports indicate that before his death, Abu had visited a food vendor, consumed food he had begged for, and later sat under the mango tree where his body was eventually discovered.

Due to the condition of the body, officials retrieved it promptly, while sanitation officers fumigated the area.
