In his final social media post of the year 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, gave a summary account of all that his office was able to achieve.
The list was shared on his X account in December 2025 and was captioned; βA summary of how we worked for you in 2025. For God and Country.β
The list of 35 achievements included Ghana being excluded from various immigration sanctions by the United States, the introduction of the new chip-embedded passports, the establishment of passport application centers across the country and the reduction of passport application fees.
Ablakwa was sworn in on February 7, 2025, by President John Dramani Mahama after his appointment and vetting by the Appointments Committee of Parliament.
