At just eight years old, Arianna Aryeetey is already achieving what many adults only dream of, becoming a published author of four children’s books.

According to Arianna, she draws inspiration for her books from her imagination and her passion for reading.

A pupil of Valley View University Basic School, Arianna, who is currently in Class Four, has written The Lazy Boy, The Magical Girl, Food Swap, and Hansel’s Journey to Friendship.

Despite her growing literary success, the young author says she still has her eyes on a future in engineering.

“I’m in Class Four… what I want to become in the future is an engineer. I just imagine. I got a picture from one of my storybooks, drew it in one of my old books, and started writing the story. At least one day, I write one story,” she said.

According to her father, Eric Aryeetey, in an interview on JoyPrime on December 29, 2025, Arianna’s journey into writing began with an extraordinary reading habit that became evident when she was just five years old.

“Any book I bought for her, she would finish it the same day, so I told her mother I wouldn’t buy small books again. Even children’s books, she finishes them immediately. She just kept reading,” he noted.

He added that Arianna’s love for books soon turned into storytelling, surprising them when she announced she wanted to start writing her own stories.

“She sat down and said she wanted to script her own writings. I asked her if she had read it somewhere, and she said no, it was just imagination,” Arianna’s father said.

Initially unsure how far the passion would go, the family later decided to support her when Arianna’s mother insisted that the stories should not “gather dust on the shelves.”

With professional guidance from writing consultants and publishers, Arianna’s handwritten scripts were transformed into fully designed and published books.

Her father noted that Arianna’s abilities further impressed the reviewers of her books.

“Even the reviewers and the professors who reviewed the books were amazed. They noticed things that I didn’t see. For example, the lead reviewer is a professor of literature, so what she was saying, I didn’t notice… And the review itself, if it is published, is so detailed,” he added.
