Founder of the All People’s Congress (APC) and businessman, Dr Alhaji Hassan Ayariga, has shared what he describes as three cardinal principles to becoming rich in life.
In an interview with 1957 News, shared on social media on December 8, 2025, Hassan Ayariga explained that anyone who wants to achieve wealth must be prayerful, hardworking, and sincere. He emphasised that adherence to these principles, in his view, makes poverty impossible.
Ayariga further elaborated that lacking any of these principles could lead to failure in life.

“The way is three things: prayerful, hardworking, and being sincere and honest. If you follow these three cardinal principles, there’s no way you will be poor. You have to be prayerful, even the devil cannot stop you. If you’re not prayerful, the devil will interrupt; if you’re not hardworking, you’ll become lazy; and if you’re not sincere, people will do business with you and run away,” he stated.
When asked whether individuals should prioritise education or venture into business, the APC founder explained that while formal schooling is important, it serves primarily as a gateway to knowledge. According to him, business is where unlimited financial opportunities exist.
“School is a gateway to knowledge, to understanding, to being in the world. You educate yourself not because it’s going to give you money, but because it’s going to open your mindset and let you understand the figures. Business, however, is the way. For business, you don’t have limited resources; you can make money unlimited. But school has some limitations. That is why we believe that empowerment must come with job creation,” he explained.
