The Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) has announced that Ghana's economy expanded by 5.5 percent in the third-quarter of 2025.
According to the latest GSS data, the non-oil economy, which reflects the performance of sectors outside petroleum production, grew by 6.8 percent, slightly lower than the growth recorded in the same period in 2024.
The agriculture sector was the standout performer, posting an 8.6 percent increase, up from 2.5 percent in Q3 2024. The crops sub-sector was the main driver of this growth.

The industry sector also grew by 0.8 percent, supported largely by manufacturing and food processing.
The services sector remained the backbone of the economy, expanding by 7.6 percent and contributing the largest share to GDP, approximately 40 percent. Strong performance was seen in ICT, trade, transport, storage, and education-related services.
The third-quarter results signal continued resilience across key sectors, despite global economic pressures, underscoring the significant role of the non-oil economy in driving Ghana’s overall growth.
