Following the passing of former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, several market women in Accra have shared heartfelt memories of their interactions with her.

In exclusive interviews with GhanaWeb, the women reflected on how Nana Konadu engaged with them over the years, not just as a public figure, but as someone who genuinely connected with their daily lives.

Many recalled her pivotal role in championing the 31st December Women's Movement, a policy initiative they believe significantly empowered women across the country.

Others fondly remembered her for her warm presence in the markets, often socialising with them and offering practical advice on how to thrive as traders.

Her legacy, they said, lives on in the lives of the women she inspired and supported.
