There’s an old African proverb that says, “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” This timeless saying reflects the true essence of friendship, collaboration, and teamwork, qualities that are, unfortunately, not always present in some relationships.

In certain circles, friendships can breed unhealthy competitions, with individuals constantly trying to outshine one another rather than support and grow together.

However, a heartwarming photo has surfaced online, beautifully capturing the essence of a strong bond, relationship and perfectly echoing the wisdom of the African proverb.

The photo, which has since gone viral, captured four unique moments shared by a group of friends who were among the 824 lawyers recently called to the Bar on October 10, 2025, as Barristers and Solicitors of the Supreme Court.

According to a post shared on October 15, 2025, by an X user named Erasmus, he explained the story behind the four-photo collage.

He shared that the group of friends had made a pact during their first year of law school to recreate their original photo when they were eventually called to the Bar together.

“We promised ourselves five years ago to recreate these pictures when called to the bar together,” portions of the post read.

According to him, the friend group, made up of six individuals, took their first photo together during their first year in law school.

In that photo, they appeared young and seemingly inexperienced, just beginning their journeys into the legal profession.

The second photo was taken during their induction into the Ghana School of Law, while the third and fourth frames captured the moment they were called to the Bar as Barristers and Solicitors of the Supreme Court of Ghana.

Erasmus’ post has since received warm congratulatory messages from other users and well-wishers, who noted that the friends-group was intentional about their growth and the strength of their bond.
