On Friday, October 10, 2025, Danquah Adjei Domson, a 21-year-old from Breman Asikuma in the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District of Ghana’s Central Region, etched his name in history as the youngest lawyer called to the Ghanaian Bar.

Born on April 12, 2004, to Mr. and Mrs. Adjei Domson, Danquah Domson according to sintimmedia.com, hails from a Christian family with three siblings.

His academic journey began at Breman Asikuma Colonel Baidoo School, where he completed his basic education at the age of 12.

He then enrolled at Breman Asikuma Senior High School, studying General Arts for a year before transferring to Life International College in Tema, where he completed his secondary education in 2019 at the age of 15.

Danquah Domson’s pursuit of legal excellence led him to the University of Cape Coast’s Faculty of Law, where he studied from 2019 to 2023, graduating with First Class Honours.

He furthered his training at the Ghana School of Law in Makola for two years and was officially called to the Bar at the remarkable age of 21.

Prior to his remarkable feat, a number of lawyers, including some very popular practitioners, had been called to the Ghanaian Bar at a very young age.

In 2019, Akpene Darko Cobbina became the youngest person to be called to the bar at the age of 22 and 198 days surpassing the previous record held by Sarah Adwoa Safo (22 years and 280 days in October 2004).

Later records, such as those of Ama Aboagye DaCosta (called on October 1, 2021, at 22 years and 166 days) and Maame Efua Mussey (called in October 2024 at 22 years), do not beat his mark.

However, the history of young individuals making it to Ghana’s Bar dates as far back as 1975, when Tsatsu Tsikata received his call at the age of 24 years.

Born on October 1, 1950, he had earned his LLB from the University of Ghana by age 18 and his BCL from Oxford by around 21–22, followed by a fellowship until 1974, before being enrolled as a lawyer in Ghana.

He is listed among the 1975 cohort which includes figures like former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
