A viral video has captured Ghanaian business mogul Ibrahim Mahama among the many dignitaries who paid their respects to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, during the funeral of the late Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III.

In the footage, Otumfuo was seen seated in state, receiving mourners as part of the four-day funeral rites at the Manhyia Palace for the late queen mother.

Ibrahim Mahama approached to shake hands with him. Following the handshake, Otumfuo, wearing a stern expression, appeared to have spoken to Ibrahim Mahama in a tone that is inaudible in the video.

The two exchanged brief words before Ibrahim Mahama was seen holding onto the Asantehene in a somewhat tense atmosphere, after which he stepped aside to allow other mourners to pay their respects.

Among the dignitaries who were present at the funeral were President John Dramani Mahama, former Presidents John Agyekum Kufuor and Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings.
