Flagbearer aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has pledged to make every regional capital a duty-free zone if elected President in the 2028 general elections.

“I am committed to supporting businesses in Ghana, if God permits,” he stated.

“Currently, we have only one duty-free zone in Tema. I intend to change that. Every regional capital will become a duty-free zone, allowing businesses in those areas to expand and generate employment.”

The Vice President further noted that his track record in economic management and digital transformation proves he is capable of leading the country.

He therefore urged Ghanaians to place their trust in his leadership.

“I have ideas on job creation. Give me the opportunity, and you will see the results. I’ve already shown you what I can do and I can do even more,” he added.
