The hypocrisy of the United States government must stop! They should stop blaming our students entirely. The truth is that US companies entice the students, (especially the smart ones and more especially STEM students) with job offers to stay even while they're in school. They help them with the regularization of their documents and once they complete, they absorb them into the system. I have personal examples that I cannot share on this forum. Astra Zeneca, Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer ate just but a few.

Students who completed universities are mandated to do a national service for one year before they enter the real workforce.
However Ghanaian students are sponsored by the government to undertake graduate and postgraduate studies abroad at the expense of the nation , yet these students are not mandated to return Ghana to serve their government for a specific number of years before they can relieved of their bonds . Students sponsored by the government complete their post graduate studies abroad and refuse to return to their home country . Ablakwa and the NDC government must put measures in place so that these sponsored students are compelled to return home to serve their country for a specific period before letting them seek employment abroad or working with the private sector.

The Trump administration is made of kkk, they are racist, the are money lovers and clueless about what it is to study for the above exams and pass. Must all students in Ghana vying to study in the US marry, have babies, and show proof of property and employment status before they are granted visas? Melanie Trump who happens to be wife of trump didn't go back, she waited untill she found trump to marry . Two Ghanaian who all came to A&T Uni. in Greensboro stayed, why? Because on was given a job by the university, the other one also found his love and they got married. Per what this clueless administration is saying, they should have returned, that is crap. We will advice our children to take jobs when they are done with their education , we cannot stop them from falling in love when they chance upon one. The staff at the American embassy must not yanked itself from realities happening in Ghana. It is hard for a degree holder to find a job or to marry and yet the embassy is looking for a strong link with the home country before visa is issued.
Am getting sick in the stomach. Your behaviour and attitude are the reasons some fail to return.

It also testify how corrupt we are in almost everything and everywhere we find ourselves. Our foreign minister himself lacks integrity and very dishonest to say the least. During his vetting, he exposed himself when it came to where his residence. Again in opposition, he said he would resign should any ndc member use private jet in a foreign trip. He has supervised Veep return to Ghana in a private jet and I cannot understand why he holds himself in that capacity. Our foreign minister is not truthful in many ways.

Some choose to overstay to do menial jobs.Why should the government give scholarships to Ghanaians to study overseas and return home to be unemployed?
