IT'S TIME FOR THE NORTHERN REGIONS TO FUND DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS IN GHANA
It's pay back time for the Northern Regions to tap and utilize every ounce of earnings from their natural resources to fund development projects in Ghana. The Northern Regions must fund the construction of the New City. Mahama from the North can't just suggest this good idea and expect the gold and gas and oil and cocoa and timber from the Western Region and the rest of Southern Ghana to pay for it and thereafter all we shall hear is: "The New City is NDC idea. NDC is Northerners party. The Mayor of the New City must an indegene of the North...Walahi." The NDC must reset Funding and Enjoyment.

Don't waste our limited resources on a new capital. All we need to do is to ensure that there is law and order in Accra. Much of the congestion we see in Accra could be associated to lawlessness. There are more people living in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa compared to Accra and yet Addis is not congested. This is because the city authorities ensure that residents of Addis adhere to the rules governing the city. For example, in Addis, there are side walks for pedestrians, bicycle lanes and a special lane designed for the blind to walk on using a white cane. If a person is found walking for example, on a bicycle lane he/or she will be arrested and fined 150 Ethiopian Birr. Unfortunetely, this is not the case in Accra. Our national capital is full of lawlessnes with hawkers everywhere (some even selling right on the streets), kiosks and billboards all over the city. Accra looks clumsy, chaotic and totally unorganized. So President Mahama address these basic issues instead of going to waste our limited resources on a grandiose project when our children are going to school under a tree, hospitals lacking equipment to cure the sick, people living in dilapidated environment due to lack of affordable housing, etc. etc. Let's help to reset the country in a reasonable way.
