The driver of the Fan Milk truck that fell off the Achimota Overhead onto the road below has come out unhurt.
In a video gone viral on social media, the driver, clad in an emerald green shirt and matching trousers, was seen walking by a Motor Transport and Traffic Directorate (MTTD) officer with his backpack.
The driver, in the video sighted by GhanaWeb, confirmed that he was the only one in the truck involved in the accident.
The accident attracted many passersby from both the top of the overhead and the road beneath it, who raised their eyebrows after seeing the driver walking away from the scene uninjured.
They urged him to seek medical care as soon as possible.
Several motorists, on the other hand, have been left in severe traffic congestion due to the blockage of one side of the road where the truck fell.
Earlier, eyewitnesses recounted that the truck driver mounted the pavement, broke through the railing of the bridge, and fell to the ground as a result of the sudden halt.
The unfortunate incident happened on Saturday evening.
Meanwhile, Fan Milk has said the truck involved in the accident belongs to one of its third-party logistics partners, Adwenpa Transport Services Limited.
It said the truck was not carrying any product at the time the unfortunate incident occurred on Saturday, January 25, 2025.
