We Need A Musician To Become President ­ - Quarme Zaggy

Quarme Zaggy (Nana Quarme Ampah) says it¹s about time a Ghanaian musician contested to become president of Ghana. Speaking on the Xfactor Show on Xfm 95.1 with the host of the Show, Mauvie, he said musicians in Ghana are not appreciated enough for their contribution to the music and art industry.

Quarme Zaggy, real name Nana Quarme Ampah, added he wouldn¹t hesitate to contest for a political position that gives him the mandate to improve on the art and music industry in Ghana.

Speaking on the Xfactor on Xfm 95.1 with the host of the Show, Mauvie, on the issues for discussion, ³dating someone you don¹t love², the musician noted that loving someone comes natural and takes more than what you see in the physical and therefore it¹s difficult to love a woman you don¹t feel any affection towards.

Quarme, who is currently single said, he is attracted to women who are affectionate, beautiful and intelligent, adding that money and material things shouldn¹t be the major factor in choosing a girl to date.

When he was asked whether he will like to run for presidency someday, he smiled the reluctantly replied, yes and went on to say he will choose Efya, a female musician, as his running mate. He explained that he admire Efya for her courage, energy and enthusiasm she puts into her career.

In the future, Quarme Zaggy, a former student of Asim Mansu Senior High school aspires to reach higher heights with his music career, own his own recording studio, nurture and manage younger musicians in the country.

The Xfactor is a late night radio talk show on Xfm 95.1, a private radio station in Accra hosted by Mauvie. The show is on air Monday to Thursday from 10pm till midnight and issues that are discussed bother on every aspect of living.

Quarme Zaggy¹s sophomore album, ³Nyankonton², is out in stores and has along two smash singles 'Dwanetoa' featuring Nayanka and 'Be My Wife'. Another single 'Just The Two Of Us' featuring Okyeame Kwame is gradually gaining way to top music charts.
