Gov't Lacks Imaginative Leadership - UK Branch Of CPP

The UK and Northern Ireland branch of the Convention People Party CPP, says the NPP Government has so far shown very little imaginative leadership beyond the policies and programmes it took over from the NDC government. Describing these policies as discredited and hopeless, the party says it is time the CPP and other parties who supported the NPP, in the last elections run-off, put behind them the anti-NDC political euphoria.

A statement issued by the UK branch observed that it is now time for a critical review of the NPP’ management of the country, cautioning that governments honeymoon is over.

The statement coincided with the visit home by the branch chairman, Dr Kojo Hanson. He is in the Country to hold talks with the CPP leadership on the restructuring of the Party.

The UK CPP branch expressed displeasure at the government’s proposed privatisation of the water sector, noting that it will only add to the high cost of living already worsened by the introduction of massive taxation by the government.

The CPP wing further accused the NPP of exhibiting cronyism in making Political appointments, adding that there is abundant evidence of what it described as “ KOKOFU BALL” which has re-surfaced with a vengeance.
