Delegation from the Presidency visits flood prone areas

Sekondi, July 5, GNA - A four-member delegation from the Presidency on Sunday visited some flood prone areas in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis. The delegation, led by Mr. Joseph Nii Afotey Agbo, Minister of State at the Presidency, assessed projects such as culverts, bridges and storm dra ins that need to be undertaken to prevent flooding in those areas during heavy areas.

Areas visited included Ketan, Mpintsin, Takoradi Airforce Station, Sekondi, Sekondi-Takoradi Opportunity Industralization Centre (OIC), Nkontompo, Effia and Adakope.

Mr. Kobina Pra Annan, Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Chief Executive, and officials of the Ghana Highway Authority and the Department of Urban Roads, among others, accompanied the delegation on the visit.
