FIRM TO INTRODUCE HANDBOOK ON INDUSTRIES

A handbook which contains indepth data on Ghanaian industries will be introduced on the market to promote the patronage of locally manufactured goods.

The book is to help the public make informed choices aobut Ghanaian products. Mr Frederick M. Amoani, author of the book and Chief Executive of Matbery Research Centre who said this at a News briefing in Accra yesterday, noted that the book will assist the Ghanaian public to appreciate the efforts being made by industries in Ghana in the manufacture of quality goods.

He stated that another objective of the handbook is to project local products which have been overshadowed by similar widely known ones manufactured by the multinational companies.

Mr. Amoani said the publication of the handbook poses a challenge to industries to better advertise thir products in the emerging competitive business environment

Mr. E. K Agyarkwa, Managing Director of Kikiriki International Restaurant said despite the fact that some industries are in a distress state due to economic factors, there are still others that are doing well and must sustained.
