Accra, June 17, GNA - The GSE All-Share Index, the benchmark measure of performance of the Accra Bourse, made its first gain on Thursday to rever se some of its recent losses, going up 96.24 points to close at 6,530.15 poi nts from 6,433.91 points.
Shares that changed hands jumped three-fold to 1.87 million shares valued at GH¢907,244.84 compared with 314,621 shares valued at GH¢492,332.77. On the broader market, there were eight price changes - six positive
and two negative. Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) rose GH¢0.19 at GH¢1.47, Ecobank Gha na Limited (EBG) was up GH¢0.05 at GH¢3.30 and Benso Oil Palm Plantation (BOPP) climbed GH¢0.01 at GH¢0.72.
Other gainers for the session were Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) up GH¢0.09 at GH¢42.65, State Insurance Company (SIC) was up GH¢0.02 a t GH¢0.32 and HFC Bank Limited (HFC) gained GH¢0.01 at GH¢0.53. Decliners were Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL) down GH¢0.01 at GH¢ 0.29 and Transaction Solutions Limited (TRANSOL) down GH¢0.01 at GH¢0.08. Market Capitalization was up at GH¢18,192.74 million from GH¢18,1 18.63 million.
