Appiah slams Milo's critics

Stephen Appiah says Ghana are happy with the defensive and boring tag that will bring them success at the World Cup.

The Black Stars captain says he is sick of hearing complaints about a one-striker system and suggestions that the Ghana side under Milovan Rajevac has become too defensive.

Rajevac's side adopted a one-goal policy at the Nations Cup in Angola and Appiah insists the side will take that same path again if it will bring them results against Serbia, Australia and Germany.

He told KickOffGhana.com: "Jose Mourinho's Inter Milan were called defensive and yet they went all the way to win the Champions League. In the end people remember the glory more than anything.

"We have come here keen to win and that is what we will do. If people will call out style defensive that is their problem but we are thrilling as a unit when we go forward. In the end we will play to our strengths and the coach's instructions and not anyone's idea of how we should play."
