Accra, May 4, GNA - The Ghana Education Summit 2010, an exhibition of International and National Tertiary Institutions as well as representative of service providers, opened in Accra on Tuesday. The summit is to complement government's agenda to facilitate rapid growth of tertiary education by encouraging senor high school students to climb the academic ladder.

Dr Joseph Annan, a Deputy Minister of Education who opened the summit, said the education system had gone through a lot of transformation and development and that the summit would contribute to the enhancement of Ghana's growing tertiary education sector. He said the summit had been organised to connect educational institutions with aspiring students and other related support agencies. The four-day Summit is organized by Expo Promotions an Accra event organizer.

The summit will showcase a range of educational opportunities at tertiary level for Ghanaian universities, polytechnics, colleges and other institutions as well as representatives of international institutions.

As part of the event, there would be a two-day panel discussion on how students could choose relevant tertiary institutions in line with their programmes of study.
