Unilever Ghana Limited donates reading books to SOS

Tema, March 4, GNA - Unilever Ghana Limited, a public manufacturing and marketing company, on Thursday donated reading materials to the Tema SOS Children's Villages, at a ceremony at Tema.

The items, mainly English Literature Books worth GHC12, 000, are to be distributed to the inmates of the four SOS Villages in the country sited at Tema, Asiakwa, Kumasi and Tamale. Mrs Bernice Natue, Corporate Relations Manager of Unilever, who made=

the donation on behalf of the company, said it was aimed at helping the S= OS villages in its efforts to educate the children.

Mrs Natue said it was the first time Unilever was donating books to the SOS Villages, and was optimistic that they would help inculcate reading habits in the children. Mr Kojo Mattah, National Director of SOS Children's Villages in Ghan= a, received the books on behalf of the children and thanked Unilever for the=

kind gesture.

Mr Mattah urged other public-spirited organisations to emulate Unile= ver's shining example, and donate books to equip the Villages' libraries.
