Col. Nibo Released!

At long last, the Director of the Public Relations (DPR) at the Ghana Armed Forces, Col. EWK Nibo is to be released from the service!

Information gathered by this newspaper and collaborated by the officer indicates that he has already attended a service commander’s interview with his superior officer, Major General J.N. Adinkrah.

Col. EWK Nibo who has been at the wheel of affairs at the Public Relations Directorate of the service for years is finally bowing out of the office that has come to be closely associated with him.

This paper has gathered that he has eight months more to serve before his release following which he would be drafted into the Advisory Committee of the Defence Minister, Joseph Henry Smith.

In the light of this, Lt. Col Ankomah Danso who was supposed to be the next in command has being whisked away to a new portfolio created for her at the new ministry of Defence building.

To add insults to injury, she was queried by the Chief Of Staff, for just a slip of tongue during the funeral of the late Vice Admiral Owusu Ansah.

In poll position to take over from Col. EWK Nibo is Lt. Col J Mensah a junior to Lt. Col Ankomah Danso, who is expected to be promoted a Colonel this year.

Col. EWK Nibo has been at the DPR over the past eight years.

When contacted, he confirmed it saying it is “normal for you to attend an interview”.
