Joseph Appiah to make provisional Black Meteors squad for 2023 U-23 AFCON

Reports circulating widely on various media platforms indicate that Trinity Always Leading FC’s Joseph Appiah is likely to make the Black Meteors squad for the 2023 Under-23 Africa Cup of Nations.

Coach Ibrahim Tanko is expected to announce the provisional squad for the tournament.

According to our sources, coach Ibrahim Tanko has pencilled the name of the footballer down and will hand an invitation to him ahead of camping at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence.

The versatile midfielder has been a key player for Trinity Always Leading FC in the Division Three League.

His consistent displays have caught the eye of Ibrahim Tanko and the technical team of the Meteors who are set to hand him an invitation to fight for a place in the final squad for the tournament.

Ghana have been drawn in Group A alongside host Morocco, Guinea and Gabon. The 2023 Under-23 AFCON will be held in Egypt from between 24 June and 8 July 2023

Ghana Premier League side, Aduana Stars are believed to be interested in Trinity FC midfielder, Joseph Appiah.

The midfielder enforcer’s performance for Trinity FC in the 2021/2022 Division One League has been stellar which has piqued the interest of some club in the Ghana Premier League.
