Accra bourse begins week on weak note

Accra, Oct. 26, GNA - The main index of the Ghana Stock Exchange (GS= E), the All-Share Index, opened the week down on Monday, losing 253.31 points= to close at 5,652.91 points. Change for the year closed the session at -45.81 per cent. Traded volumes opened at 425,273 shares, mainly on the strength of a=

block trade in Ghana Commercial Bank shares. GCB alone sold 370,500 share= s. Market capitalisation at the close of session now stands at GH¢15,449.48 million. On the broader market, there were four price changes - three negativ= e and one positive. State Insurance Company (SIC) lost GH¢0.01 at GH¢0.30, Ecobank G= hana (EBG) went down by GH¢0.04 at GH¢2.90 and Ecobank Transnational Incor= porated closed down at GH¢0.02 at GH¢0.15. The only gainer was Fan Milk Limited (FML), which appreciated by GH¢0.01 at GH¢4.58.
