Accra bourse bounces back

Accra, Sept. 8, GNA - The main index of the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) bounced back in trading on Wednesday, after Tuesday's slip that broke a series of healthy gains. The All-Share Index gained 8.47 points at 6,489.54 from 6,481.07 on Tuesday. Change for the year was also better at -37.79 per cent while market capitalisation improved at GH¢16,056.53 million from GH¢16,050.36 million. Traded volumes were, however, down at 172,300 shares from 326,800 shares. On the broader market, there were three price changes - all up. GOIL gained GH¢0.01 at GH¢0.16; UT also gained GH¢0.01 at GH¢0.18 and State Insurance Company was also GH¢0.01 up at GH¢0.31.
