Some Comments from ghanaweb.com readers who voted (unedited):

  • Even the Nazi's are still being investigated. All Previous Govts should be included. Kuffour fears that b/c he MIGHT be implicated
  • Legitimately elected civilian gov'ts should not be included. In any case the military gov'ts that brought them down always investigated them.
  • Goverment should go on with neccessary work not wasting time on reconciliation. But before then why can't they judge themselves first?
  • Previous military regimes' leaders were executed by the AFRC. Rawlings should tell us why. For me, it is Rawlings who must talk, not ghosts.
  • I think the country should move on without going back to visit the past
  • It is fair to consider investigating human rights abuses from 1957 till present, however due to time and money constraint it would be clever to only c
  • I think, it is unjust under only military rule of Rawlings. I t should be done from 1957 to 2000. What about those who suffered under CPP regime?
  • I don't think it is necessary to set up a truth and reconciliation board. If it is done though, then it must start from colonial days!
