Huawei Responds To Allegations Of Fraud

And Impropriety Published In Ghana News

[Ghana, Accra- 08 July 2009] Huawei Technologies Ghana (Huawei) will like to clarify to its partners, service providers and all the relevant stakeholders that Huawei has been engaged in legitimate business in Ghana for over five years.

The attention of the Huawei has been drawn to recent and unsubstantiated allegations of fraud and other forms of impropriety on www.ghanaweb.com feature article of Wednesday, 1 July 2009. Huawei is a multi-national Company head quartered in China with subsidiaries in over hundred Countries around the world. It is currently ranked amongst the top five telecoms solutions providers globally.

Huawei Ghana is presently working with and for most leading mobile telephony networks and also on other major national projects. Huawei wishes to state emphatically that even though Huawei has a direct working relationship with Vodafone and Telegenicca, Vodafone has no working relationship with Telegenicca. Furthermore, it has no knowledge whatsoever of any criminal or civil proceedings instituted or pending against Telegenicca nor have we received any official complaints from its subcontractors.

Huawei has never been engaged in anything fraudulent or untoward in its business operations in Ghana and will be the first to address the legitimate grievances of any person and/entity it has aggrieved.
