In Sunyani, Reverend Alexanda Addae, Superintendent Minister in-charge of Sunyani Circuit of the Methodist Church has urged Christians to feel liberated by the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ and to resolve not to go back to sinful ways. Preaching on the theme: "Christ the conqueror of death and hell is risen" on Easter Sunday at Wesley Cathedral in Sunyani, he said the occasion "must rekindle our faith in God, with whom all things are possible".
Reverend Addae emphasized that Christians needed to realize that, with the resurrection of Christ, the "wasted years" of immoral, lustful and unproductive activities were over and it was time for them to seek true salvation from God.
He expressed regret that, people sought salvation in wealth and other material things from certain quarters and advised Christians not to allow their desire for wealth or money to cloud their quest for the salvation of God.
"It is time for Christians to resolve to do what is right by leaning lessons from Christ' life, experience and resurrection so we can also harness our potential talents for the good of mankind," he said. He reiterated that the resurrection of Christ proved that He was son of God and solidified people's faith in God's salvation and asked Christians not to hesitate to offer sacrifices to God who gave up His son for the liberation of mankind.
