Corrupt DCE's Will Face the Law - JAK

President Kufuor in keeping faith with his Zero Tolerance for Corruption has warned some 100 new DCEs that he would not treat those of them who fall foul of this position with kid gloves.

Opening a five-day Orientation Seminar for chief executives from across the country in Accra yesterday he told them that the due process of the law would take its course on any adverse findings made against any of them.

On the recent revelations of stinking corruption by some DCEs in the past government he hinted that a general audit of all previous DCEs is in progress at the end of which he hinted the nation that the law would take its full course as regards those who are found to have misappropriated public funds.

'The concept of accountability is not a mere slogan, it is real and the day of reckoning lies ahead of all of us. I urge you to keep that in mind at all times. You each represent the President in your districts and like him, you must be the servant of the people. But you are also accountable to the people of your district through the District Assembly," he advised.
