Obetsebi Accuses Ghanaian Times

The former Tourism Minister and NPP Campaign Chairman, Jake Obetsebi Lamptey, has accused the state owned newspaper “Ghanaian Times” of not being credible in their reportage and publishing public speculations and rumours.

The former Tourism Minister was speaking in reaction to yesterday’s Ghana Times front page publications that thirty nine (39) cars have so far been retrieved from the former President Kufuor, Mr O.B. Amoah former Deputy Education Minister, Nana Akomea former Employment Minister and him (Mr. Obetsebi Lamtey former Tourism Minister.”

Speaking to Peace FM News, Mr Obetsebi said, the transitional team has never come to retrieve any government cars from him, because he returned all state vehicles immediately the new administration took over official duties of state.

He said “there is too many favours coming out from the newspapers.”

According to Mr Obetsebi Lamtey, the Ghanaian Times Newspaper did not inquire from him or the transitional team to find out whether the rumours that some cars were retrieved from him are true or not before publishing it.

He said had it been PeaceFm, they would have investigated the rumours thoroughly to come out with the truth.

Mr Obetsebi Lamptey has described the Ghanaian Times Newspaper’s action as a very poor conduct and concluded “this is not what a state media should be doing.”
