MTN role out new service

Accra, Nov. 6, GNA-MTN, one of the leading telecommunication service providers on Wednesday introduced a new service called seamless roaming service.

"The service would allow MTN subscribers travelling between the company's 21 operating countries to make and receive calls in a seamless hassle free manner", a statement issued in Accra and signed by Ms Mawena Dumor, Corporate Services Executive of MTN Ghana said. According to the statement, the numerous benefits would include free incoming calls whilst being charged the local tariff of the visiting participating country.

The service available to both pre-paid and pay monthly subscribers was been piloted in the four in the West African sub-region namely Ghana, Nigeria, Benin and Cameroun. The statement said, MTN subscribers can also access short message service and other value-added service enjoyed in their home networks as well as allow pre-paid customers to top up using local recharge vouchers from the country visited.

Mr George Andah, Marketing Officer of MTN Ghana said, the company was committed to providing the telecommunication needs of customers with ever improving network quality experience underpinned with innovation services. He said seamless roaming was the latest addition to the number of innovative products and services by the company.
