Stanbic Bank donates to Asogli State

Ho, Sept. 25, GNA - Stanbic Bank has presented a cheque for 8,000 Ghana cedis in support of the Asogli State. Five thousand Ghana cedis of the amount is in support of the Asogli Education Endowment Fund with the remaining, 3,000 Ghana cedis in support of the Asogli Yam festival.

The bank also presented a ram, some bottles of schnapps, palm-wine and crates of minerals in support of the festival.

Ms Joyce Aryee, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the bank, made the presentation when Togbe Afede XIV sat in state to receive homage on the fifth anniversary of his enstoolment as the Agbogbomefia of Asogli. The bank's delegation included its Managing Director Mr Alhasan Andani. Ms Aryee wished Togbe Afede well and acknowledged the tremendous impact he had made in his state, the Volta Region and Ghana in the short time he had ascended the Agbogbome stool. Togbe Adzie Lakle Howusu, Awafiaga of Asogli, thanked the bank and said he looked forward to greater working relations between the bank and the Asogli state.

The Ho branch of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) also donated a cheque for 500 Ghana Cedis and two bottles of schnapps to the Agbogbomefia.

Togbe Kwaku Ayim, Fiaga of Ziavi, presented a smock and two bottles of schnapps to Togbe Afede on behalf of the 33 traditional areas constituting the Asogli Traditional Council. He pledge the support of the chiefs of the Traditional Council to Togbe Afede and their commitment to further strengthen the traditional historical bonds that bind them.
