Today is a public holiday

President John Agyekum Kufuor has declared Monday, May 26 a statutory public holiday. The statement signed by Mr. Kwamena Bartels, Minister of the Interior said the shift in date was due to the fact that African Union Day fell on Sunday, May 25. The general public is therefore called upon to observe the day as such.
