Christians must ensure that Ghana wins December elections

Ho, March 21, GNA - Togbui Kotoku XI, Paramount Chief of Kpenoe Traditional Area in the Volta Region on Good Friday challenged Christians in the country to ensure that Ghana emerged victorious in the December general elections.

He urged them to pray without ceasing, stay united to ensure that peace prevailed before, during and after the elections. Togbui Kotoku, who is also an evangelist, was delivering a sermon on" :Together we build," at Jubilee Christian Centre in Ho. He said though Christians belonged to various political parties, they must submit their political leanings to God to give the country a good leader.

" We must all bury our individual and collective differences and pursue only one aim which is, Ghana should win the elections and come out more united as a people", Togbui Kotoku said. He appealed to all political parties to learn to accept defeat and play their respective roles to make the elections free, fair, credible and acceptable. The Reverend Noble James Tulasi, Head Pastor of Jubilee Christian Centre, advised Christians to use the Easter celebrations to reflect on their Christian lives and how these were affecting society. 21 March 08
