Oguaa goes "dead"

Cape Coast, Feb. 7, GNA - The Cape Coast Municipality on Thursday night went dead after the referee blew his whistle to end the MTN 26th Africa Cup of Nations semi-final match at the Ohene Djan Stadium in Accra following the 1-0 defeat of the Black Stars by the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.

It was pathetic that soccer fans, who had been parading the principal streets of the Municipality to celebrate an anticipated victory of the Stars, returned home disappointed following the painful defeat of the Stars.

Despite the defeat, soccer fans filled various drinking bars to drink off their sorrow, whilst others were in groups discussing the performance of the Stars and the number of goals they missed. Mr Musah Madudu, a former Black Stars player, told GNA Sports that even though the Stars lost the match, they were not disgraced considering the goal margin and must therefore be commended for their efforts.

He urged soccer fans not to be disappointed and that it was a game and any team could win and urged them to continue to pray for the Stars.
