NPP Youth league backs Dan Botwe

Accra, Dec. 18, GNA - The Youth League of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Tuesday declared its support for Mr Dan Botwe, former General Secretary of the party and appealed to all delegates to vote him as the party's flag bearer at its national delegates congress on Saturday.

A statement signed by Mr Pius Enam Hadzide, Spokesperson for the league said: " We are convinced that the party's chances at the 2008 general elections are brighter with Dan Botwe as our flag bearer:" "He bridges the gap between the young and old of this country, beautifully blending youthful dynamism and political maturity", it added.

The statement described Dan Botwe as, "sincere and a proven leader " who had exhibited servanthood attitude, served and helped the country, adding; " Dan Botwe is without any political blemish of any sort..". It called on all delegates and the entire party to note that loyalty and natural marketability of any aspirant was important than how much amount of money he can pay.

The Youth League consists of young supporters of the NPP, former leaders of the Tertiary Students Confederation (TESCON) and other party representatives from regional and constituency levels.
