Accra bourse rises in moderate trading

Accra, Dec. 18, GNA - The GSE All-Share Index, the benchmark indicator of the Accra Bourse, rose in moderate trading on Tuesday despite a fall in the share price of Aluworks. The index rose by 10.56 points at 6,532.31 points from 6,521.75 points on Monday.

Total amount of shares that changed hands fell to 288,100 from Monday's 320,500. Change year to date rose to 30.49 per cent.

On the broader market, there were four price changes, three up and one down.

GOIL Ghana Limited gained 0.0149 GH cedis at 0.2900 GH cedis, SG- SSB made 0.0200 GH cedis at 1.2500 GH cedis and Ghana Commercial Bank was better by 0.0050 GH cedis at 0.9900 GH eedis. The only loser was Aluworks was 0.0200 GH cedis poorer at 0.7100 GH cedis. Market capitalisation rose to 12,325.25 million GH cedis from 12,310.13 million GH cedis.
