Election2000: Maame Dorkunno” on Campaign Trail

Popular Ghanaian Actress, Miss Grace Omaboe popularly known as “Maame Dorkuno”, NDC parliamentary candidate for Birim North, has appealed to NDC party supporters to close their ranks and intensify their house to house campaign to enable the party to retain all its parliamentary seats.

She also urged them to prove to their political opponents that the NDC is a mature party by not retaliating even in the face of such provocative acts as when their posters are defaced or flags removed.

She told the gathering that she has come to raise the image of the district and appealed to people in the area to vote massively for her and the party’s presidential candidate, Professor John Evans Attah Mills in the December general elections.

Ms Omaboe made the appeal when she inspected work on the 26-kilometre Akim Oda-Akim Ayim Ayirebi road being undertaken by Messrs Somuah Dapaah at the cost of ?12 billion. She was accompanied by the Birim North District Chief Executive, Mr Prince Yaw Danso and the Eastern Regional Director of the Ghana Highway Authority, Mr Emmanuel Pireku.

She later addressed rallies at Akim Adubiase and Akim Odumase where people pledged their full support to the NDC government.
