Gains of three blue chips push Accra bourse up

Accra, Nov. 28, GNA - Gains by three blue chip equities pushed the Accra bourse up in mixed trading on Tuesday that saw CAL selling more than one million shares.

The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) All-Share Index, the main stock index, gained 18.02 points at 4,993.10 from 4,975.08 points on Monday. Change to date ended at 4.70 per cent.

On the broader market, there were three price changes, all positive.

ECOBANK Ghana was up by 289 cedis at 13,500 cedis; CAL gained 50 cedis at 1,850 while Standchart gained a whopping 2,993 cedis at 158,000 cedis.

Total shares traded ended lower at 1,148,300 from 1,785,600 on Monday.

Market capitalisation ended at 112,209.67 billion cedis.
