Accra stock rises

Accra, Oct. 3, GNA - The main index of the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) inched up in trading on Tuesday in mixed trading that saw five equities making moves on the broader market.

The GSE All-Share Index, the main benchmark, increased by 0.48 points at 4,944.05 points from 4,943.57 points.

Change for the year also inched up to 3.67 per cent from 3.66 per cent.

Traded shares ended better at 159,600 shares from 19,900 shares. On the broader market there were five price changes, four up and one down.

Aryton Drugs gained 10 cedis at 905 cedis; ECOBANK gained five cedis at 12,130 cedis; Enterprise Insurance Company gained 64 cedis at 8,500 cedis and ECOBANK Transnational Incorporated gained one cedi at 22,706 cedis. The only loser was Super Paper Products Company, which was down by 57 cedis at 333 cedis.

Market Capitalisation was better at 111,402.78 billion cedis from 111,398.68 billion cedis.
