Accra, Aug. 8, GNA - The Registrar General's Department on Tuesday requested all registered companies to file their annual returns. A statement signed by Mr J. K. Harlley, Acting Registrar-General, also asked proprietors of business names under the Registration of Business Names Act to renew their registration.
Proprietors of partnership firms under the Incorporated Private Partnership Act (1962) are also to do the same.
The Registrar-General's Department warned that sanctions include striking out of the names of defaulting companies from the register and or publishing of names of the business entities.
The statement further advised that all stakeholders should endeavour to take advantage of this exercise, which would expire on the October 31, 2006.
