GSE index inches up in dull trading

Accra, July 26, GNA - The main index of the Ghana Stock Exchange inched up in quiet trading on Tuesday with only two equities making movements.

The GSE All-Share Index, the main stock index, went up by 0.49 points to 4,892.18 from 4,891.69 points.

Change for the year to date was 2.58 per cent from 2.57 per cent. There were two price changes, both positive.

ECOBANK was up nine cedis at 11,570 cedis while Fan Milk Limited gained a cedi at 16,003 cedis.

Total shares traded slumped to 43,600 from 53,600 on Tuesday but market capitalisation was better at 97,243.95 billion cedis from 97,242.48 billion cedis.
